The purpose of a Remote Valve Operator is to provide a method of operating a valve without having a person physically located at the valve. While there are many reasons this may be necessary, the most common is safety. A remote valve operator system, or chain valve operator, allows the user to safely operate a valve located in a hazardous or hard-to-reach location. Specifically, the valve operator solves the problems long associated with other quick-closing valve actuators (primarily ball bearing control, reach rod / push rod and cable pulley/chain pulley systems).
