| Training
for up to 8 personnel on Position Switch set-up, trouble
shooting improper valve indication, effect of environment
on setting. Sensitivity of switches and their effect
on set-up at customers Training facility. Period of
training to be 1 day.
Limit
Switch Set-Up using Vernier Adjustors
Reed
switch adjustments may involve a long and often frustrating
procedure, costing time, tooling, and man rem exposure.
Variations in plant ambient environments and process
fluid temperatures during plant operation may affect
the magnetic field, which surrounds the reed switch.
These variations can affect the reed switches' ability
to indicate position and thus results in resetting the
reed switch. The technical staff often times performs
these intricate adjustments.
This
Training Course will provide the technician:
- The
basic theory of operation of the Solenoid Valve and
position switches.
- Provide
hands on training to verify their ability to set the
limit switches using the vernier adjuster.
- Trouble
shooting dual indication problems.
- Installation
of the 2-piece housing, vernier adjustor conversion
kits.
The
training will be developed / delivered using the SAT
(Systematic Approach to Training) approach and the AIDDIE
process. Terminal and Enabling objects will be presented.
Textbook and Hands on training delivered. Verification
that the student has mastered the enabling objectives
will be in the form of a written test and by demonstration
of their ability to set the switches using a mockup
of the SOV assemblies. |
